Hi. I’ve created a little video with instruction display different details than “Title”

The quality it’s quite horrible, i’ll find another way to upload it later.

To add a detail in the table:
- right click on the header of the table
- a menu will appears
- chose what details add

I think he means how to choose different view sorting options, like the ones you have on the first screen shot. I would like to know that too.

- you can import csv files, but you need to install a plug-in you can find it http://software.joelares.net/blog/?page_id=73
- it’s depend on the internet source, for example amazon is really easy because they provide an api to query their server; ibs it’s more difficult because you need to parse the html. If you want to try creating a new source for update you need to create a plug-in for Dvd HUnter, i’ve prepared an sdk to make that easier (http://software.joelares.net/HSSDK/). I tried DVD Hunter and I’m very happy with the software, especially with the autocomplete functionality.
However, I have two questions:
- would it be possible to import data from other source (in form of CSV or TXT file, for example)? I have most of my media already catalogued as the spreadsheet file
- how easy/ hard is it to add the new internet source for autocomplete?

Did not start with this yet (haven’t got much time right now) annyway, if you’re interessed in this, the source is right here: http://www.bruji.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2416

The dificulty with Imdb is that you have to scrape the page to get results (instead of being able to contact the db directly)

Annyway, I’ll seen when I get into this!

Hi,

Is there any chance you will add support for custom search plugins ? I’m quite interessed in creating an imdb plugin for DVD Hunter! Atm I’m still learning Cocoa/ObjC (in my free time) but it’s going quite well.

I found DVDPedia’s source code for their imdb plugin, so this will be easier to understand how it works to get the info from imdb!

You need to right click on the header of the table…a menu will appear and you’ll be able to choose what fields display
