Updating from older verions

Due to the frequent changes to database structure, to add new function to the software the update from older version, can create some problems. Here there is a guide how to update from older version without losing any informations. 

Dvd Hunter

Version from 0.3.1 to 0.4.3

  1. install version 0.5.2, run it and save change.
  2. install version 0.6.4, run it and save change
  3. you can now install 0.7.x version

Version 0.4.4 to 0.5.2

  1. install version 0.6.4, run it and save change.
  2. you can now install 0.7.x version

Version 0.6.x

  1. you can install 0.7.x version without problems

Game Hunter

Version 0.4.x

  1. you can install without problems 0.7.x updates

Dvd Hunter (Tiger)

From 0.3.0 to 0.3.7

  1. install 0.5.4 version, run and save
  2. now you can install 0.6.x patches

From 0.5.x to 0.6.x

I’m sorry there is a bug in tiger update function, the only way to install the new update is:

  1. Backup ”~/Library/Application Support/Dvd_Hunter_Tiger”
  2. Download the 0.5.4 version, install it and export all your movies
  3. Close Dvd Hunter
  4. Remove the folder ”~/Library/Application Support/Dvd_Hunter_Tiger” (remember the backup before erasing it)
  5. Download the version 0.6.1, install it and import again all your movies
